Growing: Soil should be fertile, moist and well drained.
Columbines adapt well to most soil conditions. These plants self-seed, and young
seedlings can be transplanted. Division is not required but can be done
to propagate desirable plants. They may take a while to recover as they dislike
having their roots disturbed.
Sow seeds on May 1st in 1/2 inch of soil.
Attracts Hummingbirds
Native Americans were said to have crushed the seeds on the hands of the men as a love charm.
